Saint Francis greeted everyone with the “Face of a Franciscan.”1 The love he imparted was the result of his ability to see the Divine in the Other. His gaze cut through external appearances to view the other as an immortal soul.
The gaze of Francis neutralized all categories of Identity Politics. The “Face of a Franciscan” frees souls from Identity Pens. Divine love undercuts demonic attempts to manipulate and herd humans for the benefit of those seeking unholy power over humankind.
Franciscan tradition goes even further and assists the faithful in shedding a False Self Identity. Spiritual formation assists the person in sculpting away the False Self to reveal Divine Self. This spiritual tradition, of hermitage and contemplative prayer, seeks to help a person shed the temporal disguises to reveal a truly divine essence.2
A soul freed from the destructive views of Identity Politics no longer suffers from the false views that allow deceivers and manipulators to control them as if they were mere herd animals. Once freed from the false selves promoted by Identity Politics, such souls are no longer ripe targets for propaganda.
A soul freed from False Self views is finally able to engage in Divine Collaboration, a process in which people seek to satisfy their own needs, the needs of others, and the Will of God.
Armed with certainty regarding Divine Self Nature souls no longer are easy targets for Destructive Hidden Influences who seek to destroy and enslave. They are no longer easy prey for those who stoke fear in order to attain power over the lives of all humankind.
